“ In-form-action”, is the new and engaging film/documentary by Thomas Toreli on the adventurous life of the artist Maura Biava. According to Maura, the interaction between information, matter and energy informs and shapes what we see, shapes our reality. To show this interaction in her work, Maura uses water and clay as matter, mathematics and numbers as information, and her actions as energy. This results in large installations that also include photos and videos. Maura has exhibited all over the world, and thanks to various residencies she has also been able to live in many international cities such as N.Y.C. ,Amsterdam, Rome, Willemstad, and many more. In this film, we follow her as she works in some of these places.
