A woman is chased by the wind of an arriving train. What follows is a visual ride, the camera becomes a protagonist of the film itself. The levels of inner film reality and the film material itself influence each other more and more to the point of physical destruction.

Noi pensiamo di essere padroni del nostro destino e di costruirlo quotidianamente con le nostre azioni e decisioni, ma è veramente così? Il film A Train Arrives di Raphael Heinisch, Undine Günther e Miriam Pieper, sembra pensato per contraddire ogni certezza costruita a difesa della nostra esistenza. Un vento irrefrenabile, violento e massiccio come un treno in arrivo, contro il quale non è possibile opporsi pena la morte, ci trascina lungo le strade della vita senza possibilità di modificare alcunché, quel vento è sinonimo di energie universali soverchianti inspiegabili, conosciuto come fato. Per la maestria tecnica con cui gli autori hanno rappresentato questa allegoria della vita, viene conferita una menzione speciale dell’Asolo Art Film Festival 2025.
We think we are masters of our destiny and that we build it daily with our actions and decisions, but is it really so? The film A Train Arrives by Raphael Heinisch, Undine Günther and Miriam Pieper, seems designed to contradict every certainty built to defend our existence. An unstoppable wind, violent and massive like an oncoming train, against which it is not possible to oppose under penalty of death, drags us along the roads of life without the possibility of changing anything, that wind is synonymous with universal overwhelming inexplicable energies, known as fate. For the technical mastery with which the authors have represented this allegory of life, a special mention of the Asolo Art Film Festival 2025 is awarded.
