Written as a letter to a child in Gaza by Pullitzer prize winning author Chris Hedges, the film takes the audience on a haunting & realistic journey through Gaza today from a child’s perspective imbued with guilt of a foreign journalist that transcends the screen. Stylish, artistic and horrifying, yet hopeful that we can do better, centring the story around children in this way affirms a message that – we must.

stop motion utilizzata assieme a immagini e fotografie trascritte in pittura digitale. Il racconto, sotto forma di lettera a un
bambino del giornalista Chris Hedges, è una durissima denuncia verso le guerre che, prendendo spunto dal recente conflitto di Gaza, si schiera dalla parte delle vittime innocenti augurandosi che la realtà odierna possa trasformarsi in un futuro di speranza e di pace per tutti I bambini. In onore e ricordo delle vittime dell’efferato genocidio del popolo palestinese si aggiudica il premio per la sezione animazione.
Dear Child II by Devin Peters is an animation project created by several hands in the complex technique of stop motion used together with images and photographs transcribed in digital painting. The story, in the form of a letter to a child by journalist Chris Hedges, is a harsh denunciation of wars which, taking its cue from the recent conflict in Gaza, takes the side of the innocent victims, hoping that today’s reality can be transformed into a future of hope and peace for all children. In honor and memory of the victims of the brutal genocide of the Palestinian people, it wins the award for the animation section.
