Drift

Sinossi

The world is vast, time is blind. In a landscape where human absence becomes a tangible presence, a solitary body moves through decaying architecture and infinite horizons. Renouncing narrative in favor of a hypnotic flow of sensory suspension, the film explores the fragility of being against the cold persistence of matter: a visual meditation on a land that continues to age and glisten, utterly indifferent to our disappearance.

Director's statement

I have always been drawn to empty spaces.
When people disappear, the world begins to speak.

It is not a story, but a state of being —
a movement from daily tension toward openness,
from human scale into the flow of time.

Absence carries a deeper cruelty:
these places were once inhabited,
and now no longer need anyone.
Buildings, roads, stations, and light
continue to operate, age, shine, and be worn by time,
and yet we are absent.

As all sounds fade,
we become aware of our own smallness,
and begin to drift within the world.
