Bruno Morassutti
Sinossi
It is not easy to portray Bruno Morassutti—an Italian architect of great culture and sensitivity, yet reserved and discreet. Born in Padua and trained at IUAV under Samonà, he was one of the very few Italians to attend Frank Lloyd Wright’s school at Taliesin. He moved through the twentieth century with a design method both rigorous and brilliant. The film reconstructs his human and professional legacy through interviews with friends and collaborators, enriched by valuable archival material and footage shot inside his evocative buildings. The narrative unfolds across different places—from Milan to Madrid to the Italian Alps—following the thread of a 60-year career, from domestic scale to major infrastructures, all marked by a lucid vision of structural clarity and aesthetic freedom.
