His artistic standing is grounded in definitive achievements: he was a co-author of the screenplay for “Il Viaggio della speranza”, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1991. This success was no isolated event; his screenwriting talent also earned the prestigious Grolla d’Oro for Maurizio Nichetti’s “Luna e l’altra”. As a director, he has collaborated with prominent Italian and international actors—including Luca Zingaretti, Iaia Forte, and Jennifer Driver—showcasing his work at major global film festivals from Miami to Cairo.

Correale’s transition into a pivotal figure in artistic direction is the natural evolution of a professional who has experienced cinema in all its forms.
